A woman has told of her outrage after claiming she paid extra for a window seat on a plane - only to find she was sat next to a solid panel.
Venting on Reddit, the unnamed traveler shared a photo of her airline seat on a recent flight with Delta with no view in sight.
She explained that the seat was positioned in front of the exit row seats, where those passengers had a window along with extra legroom.
While she wasn't bothered about extra legroom 'considering I'm 5ft nothing,' she was 'mildly frustrated' by the lack of a view.
A woman has told of her outrage after paying extra for a window seat on a plane - only to find she was sat next to a solid panel. She vented her outrage on Reddit and shared this photo
In the comments section, she revealed: 'I was excited to board the plane knowing my seat was A12.
'My smile slowly faded as I approached my seat counting the passing rows. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined.'
She added that because it was a fully booked flight, there were no other seat options available.
The flight attendants did say they could put her on a new flight, but the Reddit user said she was traveling with family so that was not an option.
She concluded: 'It was disappointing but I didn't make a fuss. It was just mildly infuriating.'
Many commenters empathized with the young woman's missing window ordeal.
One person wrote: 'Had this happen before on Delta, contacted them afterwards and they gave me a few thousand miles in return.'
Another commenter revealed that the same thing happened to her on the way to Costa Rica and she shared a similar photo of a wall panel instead of a window.

'I was so f***ing pissed,' she exclaimed.
Offering some advice to prevent the same incident from occurring, another dished: 'Next time consult a seat map.
'Some aircraft have AC ducts running from under the floor to over the ceiling, they sacrifice one such window to run said ductwork.

Some other Reddit users suggested the young woman had paid extra to sit in an exit row, making her qualm with the airline invalid.
One commenter wrote: 'Delta does not charge for window seats.
'They charge for Comfort+ and Exit rows. She's sitting in an exit row, so she paid more (not for the window, the leg room).
'All the other isle and window seats were probably taken in main economy. Source: I live on airplanes (fly multiple times a week).'
However, in response the young woman replied: 'I wasn't in an exit row. That was the row behind me. They had a window seat and extra leg room.'
When quizzed about the incident, a Delta representative told DailyMail.com: 'If the customer wishes to contact us directly with more detail on her travel, we’ll look into what occurred and will make it right.
'Delta, by the way, offers many seat assignments, including window seat assignments, free of charge.
'Preferred Seats, which consist of aisle and window seats near the front of the aircraft, bulkhead window and aisle seats and exit row seats are available for purchase.
'Delta also does not charge for families to sit together - if families need assistance getting seat assignments, then can be made directly at delta.com during the booking process or they may call us for assistance after a booking is made prior to arriving a the airport (800-221-1212).'
